The job

The job of running a startup is difficult. Everyday you have to build knowledge and at the same time criticize it. As a founder, I am trying to listen to my partners when the product needs to be further improved. The market is hard to reach, especially when you describe something novice and many people won’t understand it or find it interesting. But you have to move on, it’s part of the process.

I am responsible for the product development, innovation, project plan, financial plan, to find potential customers and opportunities.

Every day I am trying to approach think of ways to enhance the value of the product and make it successful. We have regular calls with my partners and design new development plans.

I am disappointed but I keep them in mind and recall them if something similar comes up.
 

Education

Androniki Pavlidou holds a Mathematics degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, and an MSc in Science and Innovation Management from the Utrecht University, The Netherlands. She had worked in the IT sector and funded two startups; Fansinator and Datalization. The startup experience, allowed her to be mentored and learn from the best. She had won the CAPSELLA(H2020 project) hackathon and the 2nd prize in San Francisco Techcrunch (Panasonic aviation challenge). She had also won the #DiploHack Athens European competition implementing the Datalization platform that triggers EU citizens to easily discover EU Open Data, their usage in their life, their business and politics, by exploring a city in a funny way. She also participated in the MIT Enterprise Forum Greece with Datalization and working as a project manager in OpenMinTeD project. Androniki is a dedicated innovator, who is passionate about technology, and turning research findings into innovative products.

Skills

Project and Product Management helps to cope with the reality and time, complexity of the product development.

Tech background also helps to understand efficiently the technological problems that may occur.

Communication, setting clear goals, be honest and inspire others, be a leader.

Outside work

I kind of volunteer to help on most of the events that I can do. I enjoy meeting new people and listening to their stories. But sometimes I get to miss my friends and family since I don’t have much time to see them.

I love driving so near to my home excursions are a must do!

Not something regular. Once in a while I may anonymously help a campaign. Of course I always try to help others, by asking them first if they need something.
